The kick-off has been re-scheduled to October 1 due to the Library closing on September 10. A luncheon has been added. Please go here for more information.

WestportWRITES 2017 kicks off with a mini-conference celebrating Westport’s vibrant community of writers.

Rachel Basch
Dawn Frederick

The day will feature a keynote by novelist Rachel Basch (The Listener, The Passion of Reverend Nash) designed to be a pep talk for writers. Literary agent Dawn Frederick, founder of Red Sofa Literary, will share her experience in the book business, followed by a Q&A. In addition, a panel of representatives from Westport’s local writers’ groups will discuss the value of writing communities, and the Library will also unveil some exciting new initiatives to help Westport writers write their passion and share it with the world.

WestportWrites is a robust, year-long series designed to take your writing to the next level. Designed to create a support structure along the path to publication, the monthly mini-conferences and workshop-based programming will culminate with a fall 2018 writers’ conference.
